Okay, so last week, I promised to have all sorts of cool stuff to show you while I was gone at the Stampin' Up! Convention.  Well, I do have lots of fun stuff to show you, BUT I ran out of time to get the posts set up in advance.  I am typing this from Salt Lake City on my roommate's laptop.  I just wanted to apologize for leaving you high & dry this week.  I will be home on Sunday & get stuff going for you.  Maybe I'll have to offer some BLOG CANDY! Bella Rose Envelope Album

I love the Bella Rose DSP & I'm so excited to see what other FABULOUS Designer Series Paper Stampin' Up! has created for the new catalog since EVERY SINGLE DSP IS RETIRING!!  Speaking of retiring, when's the last time you checked the Retiring Accessories List??  I just updated it.

The following project I made after seeing the one Paula Goff made HERE.  (If that doesn't work, go to www.inkingaddict.blogspot.com & look for her July 10th post.) She gives GREAT directions!  I still think somethings missing from mine, but maybe when I get some pictures in here it'll look more complete.  Also, since this was my first time making this, I didn't put the envelopes over to the left far enough, so my last tab is sticking out...OOPS!

 

   

 After following Paula's directions of putting the envelopes together with the hinges (the Pink Pirouette paper between each of the DSP covered envelopes with the "Ric Rac" on it), I thought the left edges looked like they needed to be covered. So I cut a piece 4 1/8 x 4 1/4.  Then I scored the 4 1/4 side at 2 & 2 1/4 & adhered with stick strip to the front Chocolate Chip covered envelope to the inside back cover.  Does that make sense? 

The last photo has pictures of what is inside the envelopes.  Hidden place for more photos or journalling.  Nothing exciting...just whisper white & a little bit of stamping.  I used the Round Tab punch to punch my envelopes on the sides rather than the circle punch. Also, I off set my tabs, but in Paula's she has them all lined up in the middle....See, I don't always copy everything exactly how the original was done!  I made a couple of little tweeks!  :)     

This last "page" with the dotted chocolate paper was something a little different from Paula's plans. I just thought my last page as the pink of the holder was a little plain. 

Supplies: Stamps:  Priceless, Totally Tabs

Ink:  Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip

Paper:  Bella Rose Designer Series Paper, Whisper White CS, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip

Extra: Punches:  Round Tab, Scallop Edge, Scallop Circle, 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 Circle Punches

"Ric Rac" was made using the Scallop Edge punch.  Punch one side of card stock that is about 5/8 wide...depends on how thick you want your Ric Rac to be. Rotate & line up so you are cutting opposite scallop.  Make sense?

Bella Rose Box in a Bag & Convention Gift Sneak Peek

I'm again, so sorry for the lack of posts this week.  I have been working on lots of fun stuff with my Bella Rose DSP (aka...Designer Series Paper), so I have lots to show you over the next couple of days.

  I've seen this adorable Box in a Bag all over the place, so I thought I'd better give it a shot.   It was so easy to make.  I followed the great directions that Paula Goff has posted on her blog.

Ink:  Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip

Paper:  Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss,&  Riding Hood Red Cardstock and Bella Rose DSP

Extra: White Taffeta Ribbon dyed Kiwi Kiss by running it over the ink pad.  Made it much darker than when I dyed the ribbons for my swap, Round Tab punch, Scallop punch, Circle punches, Scallop Edge Punch, Crop-A-Dile for hole punced in Round Tab for Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Fiskars Paper Trimmer with Scoring Blade

My Swap Sneak Peak

 

Don't you just love the new Designer Series Paper Bella Rose and the new Level 3 Hostess Designer Series Paper (it also comes with a 4 piece stamp set & a package of Rub Ons!!) that I was able to order on my Demonstrator Only New Catalog Pre-Order!!  The New DSPs use a lot of the new In Colors, and since I didn't want to use just white ribbon, I dyed my white taffeta ribbon with the Ink Refill Bottles & water.  You can follow the step-by-step directions HERE.  One word of caution, your squirt bottle might put out more water than the one shown in the directions.  It was kind of like doing a science experiment...a little bit of water, a little bit of ink refill...I even donned my rubber gloves!

Below you can see how well they matched up with 4 of the 6 new In Colors. 

 

From Left to Right, the colors are:  Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, and Baja Breeze

PS..You might be wondering why I'm not swapping cards.  Well, I already participate in a FANTASTIC swap group that does primarily cards, so I KNOW that I'll get some great stuff from them after convention.  So I thought it would be fun to do some 3-D swaps.  Also, I'm not opposed to swapping these for cards if the other person doesn't mind!

Updated Retiring Accessories List

Hello Friends...I've been busy working on my swaps & gifts for the Stampin' Up! Decor Elements in My Stamp Room

Well, I finally purchased & put up my Decor Elements.  I put them on an unfinished pantry cabinet I have in my Stamp Room that houses my stamps.  We have VERY textured walls here and we are renting this house, so I'm not too sure about putting them on my walls.  They were very easy to put on, but I will admit that the "happiness" letters did not want to come off initially when I was peeling the cover sheet off, so be forewarned & don't let it get you frustrated, just have patience. 

I used 3 Small Lollipop Flowers and 3 Small "Happiness"es.  While I was putting them up, my almost 3 year old asks, "Mommy, what's that lollipops up there?"  So I guess it was fitting that Stampin' Up! called them Lollipop Flowers. :)

After I received my Decor Elements from Stampin' Up!, I opened the tubes and looked at them all, and guess what?  Something was missing on one of the small "happiness"es.  Can you guess?  I immediately called Stampin' Up! and they were baffled, too.  They sent me a replacement right away and said I could keep the one with the missing "s".  I'm sure I'll come up with something to do with it.  I was sort of thinking to use the letters individually as monograms on "something".  We'll see. If you have any great ideas, let me know!

CASEing myself!

If you've been around for even a little while in the stampin' & scrappin' world, you have probably heard of the term: CASE which stands for Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Steal Everything.  Actually, in my opinion, it's a BIG compliment to the person to whom you "borrow" the idea from.  To me, it says, "I like your idea so much that I wish I could have come up with something that cool!"  Isn't imitation the sincerest form of flattery?  Well, here I am CASEing myself!!  So what does that say about me?  When I see a good idea...copy it, even if it's my own idea!!  :)

Here is the original I made last year for the 2007 Spring Mini Control Freak Swap .

Does this card look a little familiar?  It might if you attended convention 2 years ago or purchased the Card Kit Stampin' Up! offered to Demonstrators like I did.  I still have quite a few of these left, so I went ahead and used them at my card club.  I let my clubbers know that the Cool Carribbean Card Stock & Ink are both from the retired 2006-2007 In Color Collection.

 The Club Card is on the Left and the original from the Kit is on the Right.  It used Rose Red Craft on the flower and Marigold Morning (also from the Retired In Color Collection) for the flower Center & tag on the right of the card.
