More Sweet Scrapbook Pages from the Past

Just a couple more Scrapbook Pages to share with you.  Just so you know, most of these stamp sets and Designer Series Papers are no longer available, BUT the layouts & ideas can be easily adapted to what you already have!

The following set of pages was made with some DSP from the Spring Mini from about 1 1/2 years ago.  With the title, you need to hum the Cinderella song, "So This Is Love", when she's dancing with the Prince even though she doesn't know it's "the prince".  Well, this is my prince...Steven. My sister-in-law, Lara Blair, took these pictures at Thanksgiving 2 years ago.  She hauled all her camera gear & backdrop, so she could take some nice family pictures.  She is a fabulous photographer!  If you live in the Vancouver-Camas, WA, or Portland, OR, metro-area, I'd highly recommend her.  Her website is www.larablairimages.com .  Be sure to tell her I sent you! (The layout for the pages came from a book called "Cherish"...lots of great layout ideas.)

The following pages were inspired by a page I saw on www.splitcoaststampers.com , but I cannot find it anywhere.  I think it was a Birthday Page with a large "B" on it.  So if this looks a little familiar, let me know, so I can give proper credit. 

 

This last set of pages was designed by my friend & downline member, Kristine Miller.  The pictures are of both my kids & her kids having some good ol' summer time fun!

 

I'll have a couple more current scrapbook pages to show you soon.  I just had my last scrapbook club group meeting & we did 2 sets of pages!  Fun!

Sweet Scrapbook Pages from the Past

Here are a couple of scrapbook pages I made awhile back. They are from our vacation to Washington State back in 2006.  With the exception of the alphabet set, the other stamp sets & Designer Series Papers are no longer available.  I hope you enjoy the pages.

The first 2 sets of pages were inspired by a layout in the Summer Mini Catalog from 1 or 2 years ago.

  

   

This next set of pages were scraplifted from Rhonda Beadell here and here.  To be honest, I'm not quite sure why I have the big empty space...journalling maybe??  I guess I'll have to figure that out soon!  :)

 

This final set of pages were inspired by a Stampin' Up! advertisement in a scrapbooking magazine. These gals were my best buddies in college...Seattle Pacific University.  Go Falcons!

My Swap for the 100 Card Swap!!

Yes, you read that right...ONE HUNDRED CARDS!!!  After I signed up for it, I kept asking myself, "Why, oh why, did I sign up for this?  YIKES!!"  Well, last week I received back all the swaps, & kept saying to myself, "Oh, I want that set & that set & that set!"  My mother-in-law, Madeline, is the one who got me into stamping in the first place, and has been pouring over the swaps almost everyday since she's been here...adding fuel to my spending fire!!

Now, before you go & think that I'm re-posting the same thing that I did yesterday, I'm not.  This "card" is completely different than yesterday's "tea bag holder"!  Okay, so they are basically the same thing, but I'm going to show them to you anyway!

           

I promise that tomorrow's post will not include Bella's Bloom or the new Haiku DSP!

My Swap for the Control Freaks

   

This is the swap I made for the Control Freak's New Catalog Swap.  I received both the Bella's Bloom stamp set & the Haiku Designer Series Paper from the Prize Patrol at Convention!! ( I also received the new Scallop Edge Punch!)  I probably would not have initially purchased either of them, but after using them for this swap & one other swap (you'll see it tomorrow), they both kind of grew on me.  The Haiku DSP reminds me of when I was a kid in the 1970s.  My mom had Tupperware in these exact colors!!  (Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, So Saffron & Chocolate Chip)

This Tea Bag holder measures 4x12 and is scored at 4 & 8 inches.  I then trimmed off part of the last panel, applied Sticky Strip to the bottom & folded it in. Super Easy!!

Sorry I haven't been posting much in the last few days.  My husband's parents are in town & we've been very busy!  By the way, I have fully recovered from last week's illness, & unfortunately I've already gained back 3 of the 5 pounds that I lost! :)  YUM!

Tasty Sweet means a tasty treat!

Here's another goodie we made at my New Catalog Release Party!  You know fall is coming when they pull out the Candy Corn...YUM!!  I borrowed this great idea from fellow Control Freak Jenn Diercks over at Stamp Your Heart Out .

     

Although it may appear as if I posted the same thing twice, if you look close you will notice that there is a difference.  I used the Small Cello Bag in the top picture, so I folded the Top Note so that the shorter sides met at the bottom.  On the bottom picture I used the Medium Cello bag & folded the Top Note so that the longer sides met at the bottom.  Pretty cool!

Supplies:  Stamp Set:  Tasty Sweet; Card Stock: Whisper White; Ink & Markers:  Basic Black, Barely Banana, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun; Stampin' Sponges, Gold Brads, Small & Medium Cello Bags, Sizzix Big Shot, Top Note Bigz Die

A Simple "In Color" Card

  

Supplies:  Best Wishes Stamp Set;  Ink:  Basic Black, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Pacific Pointe, & Tangerine Tango;  Card Stock:  Sahara Sand, Basic Black, & Whisper White;  Extra:  Kiwi Kiss Ribbon & Scallop Edge Punch

I know you are going to pass out at this, but believe it or not, I actually came up with this card idea all by myself!  No, it's true!!  For my NEW Catty Release Party, I wanted to showcase a card that featured ALL of the NEW In Colors and I felt that Best Wishes was probably the best stamp set to showcase this.  I know this card won't win any design awards, but when my almost 8 year old daughter saw it, she squealed & thought it was "so cute", and you know what, that's good enough for me!!

I know I usually post more than one picture, but on Wednesday, I was hit by a virus that has really effected my GI system, if you know what I mean.  So I am trying to spread out my NEW Catty Release Party projects throughout the week, since I'm not feeling entirely creative.

Kit Kat Krazy!!

I saw this cool way to wrap a Kit Kat Bar on a gal's blog named Diana & now I can't find her blog.  If you know who it is or if it's you, please let me know, so that I can give you proper credit!  We made these at my New Catalog Release Party on Tuesday!  All the gals loved it!

ETA:  Thanks to Amy Kilpatrick, I found the Diana I was looking for.  It's Diana Gibbs over at Stampin' With Di .

For a regular sized Kit-Kat bar, cut a piece of DSP to 6x6.  Apply SNAIL adhesive along all 4 edges.

Fold in edges to the middle.  They will just barely cross over.

 

Pinch edges to seal.

 

Place ends into crimper.  Rotate crimper back & forth.

 

Almost done...

 

Ta-Dah!! 

Supplies:  Juntos Designer Series Paper from the Spanish Catalog--Celebrando Creatividad!; Really Rust, Always Artichoke, & Very Vanilla Cardstock; More Mustard Ribbon; Hidden Garden Rub-Ons; Scallop Square Punch, 1 1/4 Square Punch 

  These are made with the Snack size Kit Kats.
