My Valentine for MY Valentine!

 

Here's what Steven initially received (pretty exciting, huh?):

 

He had to get the hearts from these:

 

Which I placed in these:

     

I made these with the Sizzix Petal Card Die & just folded up two of the flaps.  I saw this idea on Margaret Raburn's blog HERE.  I forgot to take a picture with the chocolates in the hearts, but if you click on the link to Margaret's blog, you can see what it looks like with the chocolates in the hearts.

Then I hung the chocolate filled hearts here:

Steven had to pull the little hearts off of the chocolate's & put them on his card!  (Guess what??  I actually came up with this idea & the card ALL BY MYSELF!!  GASP!!  Yes, it's true!)  I got the cute little tree from my friend Alyson Lee who is a consultant for Once Upon A Family.  To see more about Once Upon A Family & to order your tree, got to her website HERE.  They have a lot of FABULOUS ideas on building family traditions into your life!  Have a great day!

My Valentine's Cards

Here are the Valentine's I made for my kiddos!  I had lots of fun playing with the Candy Lane DSP!  All the cards are 6x6.

Looking at it now I probably should have sponged the edges of the hearts & popped up some of the hearts on Stampin'  Dimensionals.

I made this one based on a swap card I had received last fall & then I had also made one similar for my nephew, Andrew's 1st Birthday.  You can see it HERE.

Christmas Catch Up!!

I'm so sorry that my postings have been so few & far between this year.  I had a medical issue at the beginning of January that got me out of the stamping & scrapping mode for a little while.  I'm back in action, so I am hoping to make up for lost time.

Today I'm posting some things that I completely forgot to show you back in December, so please bear with me for doing Christmas in February!  I got these tin boxes at Archiver's a couple of years ago & kept meaning to do "something" with them.  I gave one to my mom & I kept one to put my Christmas Countdown Numbers in.  See THIS POST to see my Christmas Countdown Calendar.

       

And here's my "Christmas" Bag! Besides changing out the papers & ribbons, I added the Decor Elements "E" and "B" (my initials...Erin Blair) to one side.  I finally changed this out 2 weeks ago to some new Raspberry Tart DSP...YIKES!  I'll post the new bag later this week...it's very fun & Spring-y.  To see my original version, CLICK HERE!

   

Here's one more little goodie that I made for Chrismtas Decor in December.  I was inspired to make mine after seeing Fontella Henderson's beautiful framed art on Becky Robert's Inking Idaho Blog .

Simply Scrappin' Kit Club--UR Sweet

For my January Simply Scrappin' Kit Club (which we actually just had on Monday due to some bad weather here in the OKC Metro Area), we used the now retired UR SWEET Simply Scrappin' Kit.  But don't be dismayed!  Although you can no longer order this kit to make these pages, you can order the NEW 2 Sweet Simply Scrappin' Kit which has the same exact Adhesive Die Cuts & Patterned Papers, just in a different color scheme--Basic Gray, Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, & Kiwi Kiss.  Now, on to the show:

Pages 1 & 2--I scraplifted these pages from BonitaKat HERE .  She used the Creative License Simply Scrappin' Kit.  I needed a little more room for my photos, so I just put a larger matting piece down.  

    

Pages 3 & 4--These pages were inspired right from the product insert from the Simply Scrappin' Kit. 

   

Pages 5 & 6--These pages were also inspired from the product insert!  So don't just throw those ideas away!!  I can't decide which way to set up these pages.  I guess after I get the pictures on, it will help. 

   

Pages 7 & 8--These pages were scraplifted from some pages Nancy Kliewer made using the Crew Kids Boy Simply Scrappin' Kit. You can find her pages HERE . I know that the first photo here looks a little empty, but just scroll down to see how many 4x6 photos I put on the page!  If I had more photos of this fun day with our friends The Miller's, I probably could have squeezed in a couple more pictures. (sorry about the poor quality of the first picture.)
